INO Tomsk and other projects will boost regional economy by 160 billion rubles, said Sergey Zhvachkin, Governor of the Tomsk region, during his address today at the meeting of regional Legislative Duma.

Head of the region reminded the deputies that Russia’s first project for integrated regional developmend INO Tomsk unites 12 federal ministries and bodies, large domestic business and helps attract billions of private and federal investments for the development of the Tomsk region.

INO Tomsk includes five industrial clusters (nuclear, petrochemical, timber, hard-to-recover oil and renewable natural resources) as well as innovation cluster SMART Technologies.

In 2015, INO Tomsk went outside the boundaries of the metropolitan area and nowadays includes virtually all municipalities of the region, - Sergey Zhvachkin, Acting Governor of the Tomsk region, noted during the meeting. – INO Tomsk and other projects will boost regional economy by 160 billion rubles over five years”.
