“We were the first region in Russia to elaborate a project of comprehensive regional development. The project “INO Tomsk” has already become a magnet for state and private investments. Thanks to it we have attracted half a billion rubles for reconstruction of the road Kamayevka-Asino-Pervomayskoye and almost 3 bln rubles for reconstruction of Bogashevo airport”, reported the head of the regional department of information policy Alexey Sevostyanov.

Besides, Mr. Zhvachkin pointed out that thanks to the project “INO Tomsk” oil and gas companies and energy providers are increasing the purchases of high-technology from Tomsk industrial enterprises, partially as a measure of import substitution. Today these deals involve already billions of rubles.

“Development of production enterprises enhanced creation of new working places in the real sector of economy, provided close links between science and industry and has been a great help for our public-sector employees in the hard times for the social sphere”, the governor added.

As reported earlier by TASS, Tomsk region will receive 2.7 bln rubles from the federal budget for the reconstruction of the landing strip in Tomsk airport that got the international status. The funds will be granted in 2018-2019. The region together with its airgate is rapidly evolving, but the airport infrastructure reconstruction was undertaken last time in the previous century.

Besides, Tomsk region has received 500 mln roubles for reconstruction of the road Kamayevka-Asino-Pervomayskoye this year, which is the truly the “road of life” for the largest timber processing complex at the east of Tomsk region. Under the intergovernmental agreements a Chinese investor is creating a timber processing park consisting of 10 plants amounting to the total sum of over 30 bln roubles, 20 bln of which has already been invested. Two of the plants are already operating. At the first stage the region authorities are planning to modernize 12.6 km of the road, including the automobile bridge over the Itatka river with modern access roads and increased carrying capacity. The total cost of reconstruction of the 53-kilometer long road is 3.07 bln RUB.
