07 July 2016 17:27

The start of construction of the biggest international medical cluster in Skolkovo is due very soon. According to Marat Khusnullin, “Construction of the first order objects of the medical cluster is planned to be completed in 2018”.

He reminded that about 15 hospitals with the combined area of around 450 thousand m2 are to be built in Skolkovo. He also underlined that this is a global level project and that investors are already showing their interest in the cluster. The whole centre is being designed with regard to the latest advanced technologies and in keeping with the international standards.

The new international medical cluster will be located in Skolkovo and supplied with the best new equipment. Moreover, it will provide for an opportunity to use current technologies along with the new ones. For the first time in Russia, health care specialists having foreign diplomas will be able to work in the cluster without having to repeatedly pass qualification examinations here. This will create an opportunity to import new technologies to the Russian capital and exchange professional experience, teach students and medical specialists in Russia, thus contributing to the integration between Russian and international health care services.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, “the foundation stone of the new medical cluster is very soon to be laid”.
